Start of day 4

Damn. Starting these logs later and later. Coffee... Coffeeeeeee...

We're almost halfway toward the end of the jam. Being tired and getting up late really doesn't help me. I know I will finish at least the gameplay and the art part of my game, that's for sure, but I'm scared I will lack time for some polishing.

No pressure still! I'm here to have fun and learn, not to be stressed! So far, I've already learned a couple of useful things:

  • I'm more up to date about the state of the Love2D's community and how far the engine's development went.
  • I'm happy to see how well I'm doing so far, even if I sleep way too much!
  • Trying the PC-98 palette just for the sake of it gave me some inspiration, and I really love how it looks sometimes, will definitely use it in another project.
  • I'm more used to how Box2D works, and now I can guess when some objects can be locked.
  • Doing all these devlogs on itch also helped me organize them better and better.

Today, I will finish what I said I would finish: the blue part on the crane and the pier, finally! If I can, I will make some crates - of different shapes to spice things up in gameplay - and eventually some boats!

Let's do this!
