End of day 6

Hello, I've completly lost control over my life!

After my previous post, I just couldn't stop thinking about how I could make that concept fun. I may have entered a rabbit hole, and there's a risk I will not finish in time, but damn, I couldn't just make a boring game.

So I had an idea: let's keep the crane concept and all, but it's going to be a toy crane. Let's get rid of the PC-98 palette limitation for now, plus let's use Godot to have a quick boost since in Love2D, you kinda build from scratch a lot of things. This time, the crane will be controlled by two inputs: one simple click in the red area means "Go there" and if you have something, let it go, stay pressed and the crane will go down and try to grab something. The idea is to sort two blocks: the red and the blue one; some level will have multiple sorting areas, others will have multiple block spawner. Yeah, this def' looks like a mini game that could exist in a bigger one, still, I find it way funnier that the previous one, and more concrete.

Already got all the graphical assets ready to go!

Just have to put that together. And I did start to put all that together! But my script is more akin to a stub than anything:

There's a lot of code to work out, at least the same amount as I did for the previous concept - which I will still release the source code. But right now, I just feel ready to hit the bed. Almost 2 days left, I may have enough to do that code. I need to try at least.

See you tomorrow!
